Redefine Depression
“Mood changes happen to all of us.
Just like a man who is paralyzed after an accident and does physical therapy exercises – although he often feels defeated, he doesn’t give up. And he tries again, and again, and again.
Or, like an athlete who wants to outdo himself and trains until he reaches a state of exhaustion, only to start all over again, and again. Redefining his limits every single time, and pushing just a little bit farther.
A mother who tries to cope with the responsibility of raising her firstborn quickly moves from one state to another, trying to adapt to the new lifestyle but also to somehow integrate the old one. And she keeps trying, going through different states until she gets there.
It is an emotional journey that we go through when new situations arise in our lives and when they take us completely out of the routine, out of our normal, out of the comfort zone.
I can even say that depression is a bridge to another version of you, better, wiser, different.
It is a bridge to another perspective of things, a different one than what originally created depression.”
Quote from The Journal Of Human Emotions book.
Intention leads to decision.
Decision leads to change.
Change leads to building new beliefs.
