Mental Health Tip
Mental Health Tip
There are moments when you need mental clarity, to take an important decision, or to simply release the mental clutter.
Mental clutter unaddressed can lead to difficult issues.
Which will be expressed inside out.
Not ideal.
What can you do?
There is an immediate action you can take.
Cleaning.
Yes, cleaning your physical space, housekeeping.
I don’t want to hear excuses, you may have a maid and still can deep clean/organise something (your office papers, your car, anything else).
Research shows that exercise, moving your body and a clean space makes you feel better – releases those brain chemicals (like dopamine) that will boost your mood, that will give you motivation and satisfaction.
And when you clean you move. You get clarity.
This is something I’ve always done, whenever I needed mental clarity or to contemplate on a situation.
I am telling you this – it works!
A good test to check on your mental situation, if you are in the state of “all is well” when it’s not, is to look around and observe your private space.
Keep your place clean and tidy at least every 2 weeks.
If more than 2 weeks have passed, since you’ve done it, you need to address your thoughts and emotional state.
Something is going on there.
As I said, this is an immediate action you can take to dissolve your mental clutter and gain clarity.
A handy solution to keep yourself in check.
If you want to read more on this subject I suggest this book – The life-changing magic of tyding up by Marie Condo.
A 50+ pages, easy to read book.
A small insight, sometimes I do it backwards.
Meaning, I get mental clarity and/or contemplate first, then I clean my space.
But this option is more advanced.
Keep it simple and practice.
As always, I have different ways to go about it, depending on your situation, when it comes to mental clarity.
And yes, is also about gaining self control.

Have a good one!
