Spirituality Perspective
Spirituality Perspective
In Latin Spiritus means Breath.
This is the meaning of spirit, it’s your soul, which is alive through daily breathing.
You are alive on this Earth because you breathe.
Facts, right?
Spirit, spirituality, Is Not something outside of you, but IN YOU.
Saying that spirituality is not real is saying that you are not real.
Affirming that your spirit doesn’t exist is the same as declaring that… you don’t breathe.
The way spirituality (spirit, spiritus, soul) is perceived and understood doesn’t always make sense, let’s just say that some people… complicated this process.
And it shouldn’t be complicated, or too woo-woo, as others say.
It’s actually simple.
All you have to do is to at least be curious about what you want, from your heart and not your mind, and actually listen.
After that convince yourself you can do it.
Which means forming new beliefs around it.
And this important part of the process is a bit tricky sometimes.
Here is where spiritual teachers appeared with all types of methods to get this step accomplished – Forming new beliefs.
Different ways of meditating, poses, and rituals of all kinds.
Don’t get me wrong, for some this works – kudos to you.
I will continue by saying that I’ve tested many of them, of these methods and rituals.
Which made me think
There must be an easier way, a simple one, that makes sense to my logical mind.
And I’ve started to test it out. Multiple times in different ways.
This allows me to tell you now that things are simple and not as complicated as they seem in other people’s eyes.
It’s all about perspective and in fact, about the meaning you give to every word, number, person, and situation.
How you get there is fully your choice, if you need multiple daily rituals to get there and it works, all good.
The finish line is the same – reprogramming your mind, implementing new beliefs – regardless of how you get there.
It’s just a conscious choice.
I like to simplify things, so I did.
To start this journey, knowing yourself (spiritus)
You’ll need self control.
Discipline.
Practice.
I want you to think of self control as if it’s a Button that you can switch ON and OFF as you need it when you need it.
Part of having self control is knowing when to switch it off too.
In the picture below I made a simple visual representation of self control steps.
